This project is the result of a very short Workshop with Peter Macapia in 2007 at the ESA. The subject was the transformation of a simple geometric object by the context.

 We decided to work on the entrance to Paris by train, so the project is situated near to the "Gare de l'Est", where a few months after the workshop the TGV est would arrive. So creating a moving entrance into Paris seemed an interesting interpretation of the subject.

 A light roof is created above some pedestrian bridges, creating a new public place, linked to the train traffic underneath by the movement of the roof. The trains can also be seen between the bridges, making the whole environment moving and linked to the idea of voyage and farescape.
