The subject was the development of a new urbanism for the town of Chessy, located next to the Walt Disney World Paris.
Our work poses the question of how to gain a certain independency toward the new towns of Marne-la-Vallée and the leisure parc to develop in a different way, evolving more naturally from the village it is towards a bigger town. To do this we propose to design the landscape instead of the city. This landscape will structure the territory and limits urban sprawl. For Chessy we propose a denser urbanism that will form a new town-center, using existant buildings and scale.
I worked on this project with Gabriel Arnaud for the Erhel-Ripault Workshop.
